With school underway, athletics are starting to heat up with practices in full swing. The football, softball and volleyball teams are all preparing for season play to start in August. Check out a few photos from practice this week.
Football

Girls’ Softball
Coach Jeff McKinney starts his first year as head coach of the Dalton Lady Catamounts softball team. The Lady Cats were 19-18 in 2011, and advanced to the Class 3A state playoffs. Coach McKinney and the team are looking forward to a great season and hopefully a return to state playoffs.
Girls’ Volleyball
The Catamount Volleyball team is coming off a winning season from last year with a 31-15 record. Coach Joey Wills is in his fourth year as the head coach and he is excited about the season.
